🌟 Theme: "Survivor Voices Against Rape: The Power of Our Voices" Surva 2024. 🌟 I recently had the incredible opportunity through Zion Health Foundation were I got the information to attend the Survivor Voices Against Rape Conference organized by Rescue Women Cameroon #REWOCAM, and I am still buzzing with inspiration and empowerment. This conference was a game-changer, raising awareness about rape and providing survivors with a platform to share their stories and advocate for change. The conference was a powerful reminder of the strength and resilience of survivors. Through storytelling sessions, we witnessed firsthand the profound impact of rape on individuals and communities. It was a humbling experience to hear survivors courageously speak out, breaking the silence surrounding this heinous crime. The presentations by esteemed speakers, including the regional delegate of Women Empowerment Buea Madam Arrah, the CEO of REWOCAM Madam Nakinti Besumbu Nofuru , and The program manager, Madam Edwina Bayabake Lokenye, provided valuable insights into combating gender-based violence and securing funding for projects addressing the issue. We were equipped with practical knowledge and tools to make a real difference in our communities. What truly made this conference special was the incredible sense of camaraderie among the participants. We formed a supportive network of individuals from different towns in Cameroon, all united in our determination to create a safer society for all. Let's continue the conversation, break the stigma, and amplify survivor voices. Together, we can create a society where everyone feels safe, respected, and heard. 💪 🌎❤️
